DIY: Edible Favors for a Winter Wedding

I have been spotting some great ideas for DIY wedding favors.  Here are some extremely cute ones, especially for a wintertime wedding.  DIY-ing lets you personalize your favors to you and your fiance and adds that extra special touch.  Do you guys love cocoa or baking together?  Do you have a favorite spice blend?  Use these inspirations to come up with something tailored just for you and your hubby to be!  Here are some of my favorite ideas:

"homemade" stamped cookies, these are so adorable and the possibilities are endless via Jillian Leiboff

Or, you could let your guests get in on the DIY-ing with these cookie mix jars via Wedding Window
These cocoa kits are very festive, and could be dressed up to match your wedding colors or theme via kirtsy
For something more savory, how about these infused oils?  I love the thought of giving your guests a choice of flavors! via Just Putzing
Vanilla sugar would be a great addition to your guests holiday cookies or stirred in their coffee via Style Me Pretty
Are you planning on DIY-ing your favors?  What are you making?

Alternative Wednesday 22: Striped Bridesmaids

I have a thing for fun and quirky bridesmaids' dresses.  Striped dresses are very stylish and I bet your bridesmaids will use them again!  Here are some great examples of striped bridesmaids:

Inspiration 268: Classy Teal and White

Today I have another post for you with a late fall color palette.  I went more simple with this one, using teal mixed with whites and creams.  Teal is one of my favorite colors and looks beautiful on everyone!

Inspiration 267: Glittering Gold, Kraft Paper and Red

Thanksgiving is coming and the warm red in this board is the perfect color for a November wedding.  Adding a touch of gold really glams up this board and kraft paper is a nice fall touch.  What do you think of this color palette?

Monday Funday 26: Gothic Love Story

This board was originally going to be posted for Halloween but we were hit but Hurricane Sandy so we were without power for a bit!  It's still a fun board though, and I love the elegance that the black, white and red palette convey.  I added some quirky Gothic touches that would be great for a Halloween wedding or for anytime of year!

Inspiration 266: Snow White, Updated

After watching Snow White and the Huntsman, and it being almost Halloween, I wanted to create an updated take on Snow White as a wedding theme.  I incorporated a lot of black and some fun elements like apples in the bouquet and as dessert.  In the future, I plan to update a few of the other classic Disney princesses!

Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox

I was so excited when I opened my mailbox the other day to find my first ever voxbox!  Influenster sent me some great items to try out and share with my readers!

The first item I tried out of the box was the Vitabath Fragrance Mist:

The scent I received was cucumber and white tea, it smells so delicious!  The Vitabath spray is infused with conditioning vitamins that left my skin feeling silky soft and my fiancee couldn't resist the sweet smell.

The next item I tried out was the NYC IndividualEyes Custom Compact:
I was sent the compact for brown eyes and it included a primer and illuminator as well as colors to compliment brown eyes.  I love the shades in this compact and they work great for both day and night.  I especially loved the primer, it kept the shadow from creasing all day long.

Up next is the mini candle from Bath & Body Works:
The Black Pepper & Bergamot smell is super sexy.  Some guys don't like sweet smelling candles but this is definitely one you and your honey will both enjoy.  I came home from work the other night and found that my fiancee already had this candle burning, what a nice surprise!

The last item that I tried out from the kit so far was the Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin:

I always wear my hair up to work, usually in a ponytail or bun but I decided to try out these hair pins.  The box gives you simple to follow instructions on how to use the pins and they held my hair in place perfectly.

I have a few more items to review, but I'll have to save that for another post! I hope you all enjoyed this review and give these products a try.  If you've already tried any of them, let me know what you think!!

Inspiration 265: Pink Ombre

I love ombre!  From the cakes to bridesmaids in a range of shades the trend is definitely one I can get on board with.  For this board I went with shades of pink.

Inspiration 264: Don't Get the Blues...

I love the dress in this board, the navy with to pop of aqua at the bottom is just perfect.  That was the inspiration for the rest of this board... I added some tiffany blue in too!

Inspiration 263: Modern Red

I have a love for all things vintage, soft and girly... but I know not everyone feels that way!  How about a bold, modern red and black wedding inspiration board?  I added some fun touches and clean text for a modern feel.

Inspiration 262: Sweet Coral

I promise the next board won't include any form of coral/peach/pink!  This palette is just too sweet to pass up though.  Lovely, bright coral mixes with soft & sweet blush for the perfect wedding colors.  Blush gowns are gaining popularity and coral is the perfect compliment in my opinion!

Inspiration 261: Fun Navy, Peach and Gold

I know I just did a navy board but I love this peach, gold and navy board.  The chevron photo booth backdrop is just lovely!

Inspiration 260: Navy Beach Wedding

I have a pretty blue board for you today!  Shades of blue incorporated with beach-y elements are definitely perfect for your ocean side wedding day.  I love the wavy pattern on the cake and the groom's stylish but casual outfit!  Oh and how about the tie dyed dress?  Just fabulous.

Inspiration 259: A Lovely Neutral Rustic Wedding

I am a huge fan of color so I tend to do a lot of bright and colorful boards but my neutral boards are lacking a bit.  This board is just lovely though!  The mismatched bridesmaids dresses add some flair and the ruffled cake is to die for.
